The Conserv refrigerator is the successor to the popular Vestfrost 375. Linda and I have been happy with our Conserv 375 which we purchased in 1999. The first two years we owned it, we were still living in the motorhome and had to keep the refrigerator outside. Now it is in our new home and we like our Conserv 375 very much. At 90 Watts an hour, it only draws about 900 Watts per day, That's less than most people use in lighting alone. The new Conserv 380 has additional refrigerator and freezer space.
The beautiful new design by B & O designer / artist David Lewis has won international acclaim.
The fresh food section is at eye level and the freezer is on the bottom. The condenser and cooling tubes are built into the walls of the unit, with the back sealed to keep dust out of working parts. This sealed design allows for quiet and ultra-efficient operation.
With two efficient compressors you have control over the cooling of each compartment. We keep our settings on "1" in each compartment. The freezer has a "fast freeze" switch to cool things down in a hurry. This option uses a lot more power but if it's a sunny day, use it!
The interior shelves in the refrigerator are adjustable. The top three are plastic covered wire type and the one over the two crispers is glass. The adjustable shelves on the door are big enough for gallon milk cartons and include two covered shelves and one insert for egg storage.
The freezer features shelves that are the actual cooling tubes so things stay super cold. There is shelf for small ice trays. There are three pull out drawers with clear fronts. The solid see thru fronts on the pull outs keep the cold from spilling out when you open the freezer door.

Can convert into ultra-low power chest REFRIGERATOR
The NEW CROSLEY chest freezer is 10.0 cubic feet and is Energy Star Rated.

The good folks at Backwoods Solar tested this new 10 cu ft model. Freezer temperature was set at a range of -2 to +10 degrees F. Room temperature was held at 66 degrees F. Power consumption was 500 watt-hours per day.

SunFrost refrigerators are the most energy-efficient upright refrigerators available. They keep food fresher longer by maintaining high humidity, which prevents freezer burn and wilting caused by water loss in food. Defrosting is seldom needed: frost buildup is extremely slow because water vapor in the refrigerator section from moist room air or food is not transformed into ice. When defrosting is needed, usually once or twice a year, just transfer frozen food to the refrigerator section and turn it off for 30 minutes. Ice quickly falls off the smooth flat surfaces in large pieces.
The Sun Frost refrigerator comes finished on the outside with white laminate, but it can be ordered in natural wood or any of over 100 colors or shades of Formica or Nevamar to match kitchen decor. The spacious, well-lit interior, made from sturdy fiberglass reinforced plastic, is easy to clean. There are no exposed ducts, tubing or hard to reach corners. All of the shelves are adjustable.
The Sun Frost refrigerator should provide well over 15 years of trouble free operation. The only moving part is a hermetically sealed compressor. The brushless motor used in the DC models eliminates periodic servicing.
Low Voltage DC Models - Energy use listed in the table below is for 12 VDC. On 24 VDC systems the same amount of energy is used (½ as many amp hours per day).
