The Conserv refrigerator is the successor to the popular Vestfrost 375. Linda and I have been happy with ours which we purchased from Mark in 1999. The first two years we owned it, we were still living in the motorhome and had to keep the refrigerator outside.  Now it is in our new home and we like our Conserv 375 very much.  At 90 Watts an hour, it only draws about 900 Watts per day, That's less than most people use in lighting alone.

The beautiful new design by B & O designer / artist David Lewis has won international acclaim.

The fresh food section is at eye level and the freezer is on the bottom. The condenser and cooling tubes are built into the walls of the unit, with the back sealed to keep dust out of working parts. This sealed design allows for quiet and ultra-efficient operation.

With two efficient compressors you have control over the cooling of each compartment. We keep our settings on "1" in each compartment. The freezer has a "fast freeze" switch to cool things down in a hurry. This option uses a lot more power but if it's a sunny day, use it!

The interior shelves in the refrigerator are adjustable. The top three are plastic covered wire type and the one over the two crispers is glass. The adjustable shelves on the door are big enough for gallon milk cartons and include two covered shelves and one insert for egg storage.

The freezer features shelves that are the actual cooling tubes so things stay super cold. There is shelf for small ice trays. There are three pull out drawers with clear fronts. The solid see thru fronts on the pull outs keep the cold from spilling out when you open the freezer door.

NOTE ABOUT RECEIVING TRUCK FREIGHT ITEMS:  Do not sign for anything until you have inspected your unit. You have spent good money on this, and it was shipped in good condition.  If you don't inspect it, and open the unit at home and find 'hidden damage', there is no recourse for a truck freight claim. All claims for damage MUST be made at the time of receipt of the unit!  Note any damage on the bill of lading before signing off--it's a relatively easy process to get a new unit or replacement parts if you do so.  But not if you don't inspect it!  Also, don't refuse an obviously damaged unit.  You will still be charged for it, as we will also be by our suppliers.  Freight damage is very rare, but when it does happen, proper documentation and reporting of any damage will expedite the claims process.

The NEW CROSLEY chest freezer is 10.0 cubic feet and is Energy Star Rated.

The good folks at Backwoods Solar tested this new 10 cu ft model. Freezer temperature was set at a range of -2 to +10 degrees F. Room temperature was held at 66 degrees F. Power consumption was 500 watt-hours per day.

Energy consumed is roughly 325 watt-hrs per day with the same parameters as the freezer testing above. Temperature Range -30 to 100 Degrees Fahrenheit.

Once installed, the Crosley's interior light and external operating LED only illuminate when the Crosley is drawing power.
