DC Powered Evaporative Coolers

The SOLAR CHILL solar powered evaporative cooling system is available in five sizes and 2 DC voltages(12, and 24 volts DC). The rust-proof housings are built of 304 stainless steel, and use a 6" thick fluted pad as the wet cooling media. This pad is the most efficient evaporative cooling media in the world, and it will last five years with minimal maintenance. SOLAR CHILL's use only 25 to 130 watts! Only 80 Watts for 4500 cubic feet per minute (CFM). Use the 24" or 2-20" if the cooler will be connected to ductwork. Optional rheostats may be used to slow fan speed. Optional Control Packages with clean out pumps are available.

For array direct operation of evaporative coolers use an array with atleast the recommended watts and choose a Linear Current Booster on page 125 with the correct amp and voltage rating.

Solar Chill Evaporative Cooler
SOLAR CHILL 14"

 

Taking the place of our previous models 1212HP and 1612HP.  This new cooler is also available in 24 volts, and can cool up 300 square feet.  The XP in the product number stands for extra performance, this is due to the newly added 8" pad, more pad media means cooler air! (Give us a call to upgrade other Solar Chill Models to XP!)  The 1412XP has dimensions of 19.5" x 21" x 24", pulls between 38 -52 watts, moves air at 1150 CFM (cubic feet per minute), and is good for cooling 350 - 400 square feet.

Solar Chill Evaporative Cooler
SOLAR CHILL 18"

 
Medium sized evaporative cooler, capable of cooling 400 to 750 square feet. Uses only 53 - 73 watts of electricity, can be run direct from a 85 to 130 watt PV panel. Measures: 24.5" x 23" x 23" and has an airflow of 2000 CFM (cubic feet per minute). This Solar Chill unit can come in 12 or 24 DC volts or in 120 AC volts.  Please note that the 1824 and 18-120 features our new Belt Drive Option.

SOLAR CHILL 24"

 
The new SOLAR CHILL 24" has replaced the older model that was 30". It has a four bladed 24" fan with a 30" tall Celdek pad, and is the same size package as the 30", but will develop higher static pressures than the 30" for a better fit to ductwork. It will produce 4000 to 4500 CFM and uses 80 to 250 Watts depending upon voltage.  This unit is available in 12, 24, or 48 volts DC, or 120 and 240 volts AC.  Please note that the following units are BELT DRIVE driven: 24 vdc, 120 and 240 volts AC.

This compact new model is designed specifically to cool the cab of an 18 wheeler with the intention of creating an innovative way to keep cool while staying in compliance with the new No Idle Laws.  Please call for more details. The Double 8-12 (2-812) is similar to the KAR KOOL (see below) but self-contained! The Double 8 is named for its dual cooling fans (with two 8 inch diamater 12 volt fans) and can be installed with its own water reservoir. The unit has a  float  switch which controls an automatic fill system!
